UK Property Prices

UK Property Prices

Property has always been a hot topic in the UK, before the financial crisis in 2007-2008UK TV channels were full of property shows like: Location. Location. Location, Property Ladder and Escape to the Country. Property is a very important part of the UK economy and the UK government seems to want to keep prices inflated at all costs, despite much criticized government intervention (the help to buy scheme) which some people say is just creating a bigger bubble this infographic suggests that UK home prices are still below their 2007 peak. UK property prices rose by an average of 5.4% in 2013, London saw the biggest increase in property prices, property in the capital rose by 11.6% last year. Scotland saw the smallest price increase, property in Scotland rose by just 2.4%. Privately rented accomodation has increased by 58% so it would seem that a lot of people cannot afford to buy their own home.

Will UK property prices ever recover?
